In 1993 MAG Spa, one of the oldest Italian insurance brokerage companies, established in 1978 by Vincenzo Impronta, firmly lands in the Lloyd’s of London market by setting up Marine, Aviation & General Limited, which thus becomes the first brokerage company of an Italian Group to have direct access to Lloyd’s market.
Thanks to that, the Group could gain, a consolidated thirty years of experience on the international insurance markets while expanding its range of action offering a new service to European brokers by supporting them in accessing a competitive and cutting-edge market such as that of Lloyd’s.
In 1997 MAG Ltd became an approved Lloyd’s broker.
After 27 years of activity and with the United Kingdom leaving Europe, Mag Spa establishes an English branch to give continuity to the work carried out to date, adapting to the new requirements imposed by Brexit.
In 2020, thus was born, MAG Spa UK Branch, which goes alongside with MAG Limited, that continues to manage placements in the UK and Non-EEA Insurance market.
MAG Spa UK Branch operates in the EEA Insurance and Reinsurance market under the FCA temporary permission regime.
